Skin Hyperpigmentation Index (SHI)

Instructions

Upload the images of the hyperpigmented area (clinical or dermoscopic image) and of reference normal skin in the appropriate boxes and press the "Calculate" button. If necessary, you can interactively crop and zoom-in on a desired portion of the images to be analyzed. Circle crop selection can also be used.

Interpretation of the SHI results

1: no hyperpigmentation
1-2: light hyperpigmentation
2-3: medium hyperpigmentation
3-4: severe hyperpigmentation
4: maximum hyperpigmentation
